Smt. Arathi Srinivas
Arathi Srinivas, disciple of Smt. Geetha Ananthanarayan, is a virtuoso in Bharatanatyam Dance (Kalakshetra Style). She was initiated into this art form at a tender age of six. Having undergone disciplined training, she has won the hearts of connoisseurs through her dynamic stage presence, excellent control over complex foot patterns, hand gestures and impressive facial expressions. Gifted with talent in this form of art, Arathi Srinivas has imbibed the artistic nuances of classical ballet dancing and choreography skills through participating in the lead roles of the ballet productions of her parent institution. She is a distinction holder in Senior Examination conducted by Government of Karnataka and persuaded Vidwath curriculum. She has also performed in many dramas – including Mysore Dasara Festival, through drama troupe of Smt. Yamuna Murthy, a very well-known Radio artist in Karnataka State.
As an active member of Sri Vivekananda Kalakendra, a well-known art Institute in Bangalore, she has performed in many Ballet/Scripts on social cause. She has also acted in Kannada TV Serials under the direction of Sri. Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar. She has also received an award from Sri. Nagabharana, a well-known cinema director, for choreographing a script.
Arathi Srinivas is teaching Kalakshetra Style Bharatanatyam – since 2006. Her students have performed in cultural programs conducted on the festival occasions of Ugadi, Sankranti, Diwali, India Fest etc... She conducts online classes to her students that are based out of different geographical locations.
